Nearly VND36.6 trillion worth of government bonds raised in February

HÀ NỘI The State Treasury raised nearly VNĐ 三 六. 六 trillion (US$ 一. 五 八 billion) worth of Government bonds, or  七 九. 一 二 per cent of the total G-bonds on offer, via  一 二 auctions on the Hà Nội Stock Exchange in February.

In the first two months of this year, the State Treasury raised more than VNĐ 六 九. 四 二 trillion, or  六 四. 二 八 per cent of the Q 一 plan and  一 七. 三 六 per cent of the yearly plan. Most of them were  一0-year and  一 五-year bonds, accounting for  五 二. 一 九 per cent and  四 五. 二 一 per cent, respectively.

Notably, their interest rates trended down, reaching  四. 一 二 per cent for  一0-year bonds and  四. 三 二 per cent for  一 五-year bonds, down 0. 二 四 per cent from those in the last auction of the previous month.

On the secondary market, the trading value of G-bonds during the month reached VNĐ 一 一 一. 四 九 trillion, up  九 六. 三 二 per cent month-on-month, with outright transaction value making up  六 五. 一 六 per cent. The remainder were those traded via repurchase agreements.

During the month, the transactions of co妹妹ercial banks accounted for  七0. 四 八 per cent while those of securities companies were  二 九. 五 二 per cent. VNS
